Whether you're a natty knitter or crackers about crochet, Leeds Wool Festival has something on offer for every age and interest. This Yorkshire institution takes place at the Grade II listed Armley Mills, once the world’s biggest woollen mill.
Head down on 1 June and discover stories of loom to limelight in the glamorous Queens of Industry exhibition. Wander through the extensive tailoring galleries, catch a glimpse of the original working looms, grab a brew from the pop-up tea rooms and check out expert demonstrations, talks and craft markets. If that's not enough there's screenings in the 1920s Palace Picture House and alpaca petting too!
